I’ve always been a fan of quality SxS’s. However I’m not sure what model or grade this Francotte is as there is not much information out there on these. If someone could give me a little bit of information that would be greatly appreciated.

I can tell it’s a trap model after closer inspection due to the stampings on the rib but I’m not sure of manufacture date or grade if there were any other grades of trap models.This is a start

With the side clips, straight stock, long BTFE and 2 triggers I'll bet it's a Pigeon Gun Bro. o-hale.

Looks like the top of the barrels say “Von Lengerke & Detmold” the rib says “VL.R Trap Gun” and the top of the other barrel say “U.S. Agents New-York”.

If made after 1921 there will be a date code at the top of the proof mark string on the flats

If made 1910-1921 the flats should look like this. The muzzle constriction in mm is over the bore
