The Beretta TR-1 was Beretta's attempt to compete with the BT-99 . It was not a great seller but ,very well built . It was simple in design and it crushed targets. Hard to find one today, Kinda always wanted one. My old Gun Smith in KY the late Larry Parish had one and shot it well.
I have (2) TR-1's and (2) TR-2's. ....Another guy at our club shoots a TR-2. ....I have seen a few other TR's being shot at other clubs, so they are still around.

The only gun I shoot is a TR-2 which I modified with a high rib and custom stock.

TR-1's and TR-2's have the same receiver, and both are labeled as Full choke.
....The TR-1 has a .034" constriction.
....The TR-2 has a higher rib and .040" constriction.
....There are a few other minor differences between the two models.

From what I have been able to learn, Joseph Galef Co (NYC) was an importer of Beretta guns in the mid-1960's.
....Something happened, and by 1968, Galef was replaced by Garcia Sporting Arms (Teaneck, NJ) as the Beretta importer.
....Some of the Beretta TR's have the Garcia name on the barrel, while others do not. ....All carry the Pietro Beretta name.

The Galef models shown above are not the same as the Beretta TR's, and were offered after Galef was no longer the Beretta importer. ....I have read, but can not confirm, these models were made by M.A.V.I., also in Gardone, Italy.

The light-weight folding guns were the Beretta Model 412 and were offered in several gauges. ....Garcia sold these as the FS-1 model designation. ....Galef Companions were the light-weight, folding guns based on the Beretta Model 412, but were not the same.

I just found the info on the DT-11 unsingle on line etc--and i assume that they DONT offer a top single?
anyway--thanks again for the direction
You can likely find a used DT10 top single with some searching. They are excellent. A pretty good shooter shot one for a long while before he passed.
