im wondering if beretta ever made a single barrel trap gun(not a combo) OR if they make one now?
obviously browning does--but i was wondering if beretta does or did
please advise with info and thanks in advance

The Beretta Vandalia- only about 300 were made. It was a beautiful single barrel gun, one came up for sale a few years ago and that was the first I saw since I saw them for sale new at the Grand in Vandalia, OH.
That was quite the strange one. The outward appearance of a Beretta SO, with a sidelock on one side and a sideplate on the other. However, it had the Purdy double underbite lockup.

I suspect it wass subcontracted out to/from another company, much the way the SO9 was to Famars, it wouldn't have made much sense to engineer, design, and manufacture parts which interchanged with nothing else they've ever produced to make a run of 300 guns, unless they'd originally planned to do a much larger run but stopped after 300. But I would have expected to see whatever the parent gun was at some point, the closest I can think of was the old Stoeger Zephyr.

I recently bought a very nice Mark 2 and the local H.S. trap coach asked me about a TR-1/Trap Special that was given to his team for the kids to shoot.
The only 2 I know of that were not built on the 682 style frame. The Mark 2 is an esp. well built gun with a very thick barrel.
The TR-1 is a very light gun that kicks like a mule.
My 2 cents.

I shoot a mark II actually. Very heavy barrel way too heavy. Nice factory engraving including an angel. I patterned it and it shoot very flat and very tight.

i had one back in the day, bought it originally for the then wife to shoot trap with.
only saw a couple of them in my area back then -both were built before beretta
bought up the smaller company. Did see a few none trap guns built on the same basic action

but none had the beretta name on them
