I just bought a new entry-level BT-99(one with no adjustments) and i put the PFS stock on it!--about a little over $3k invested total!
i can do "any adjustments" i need to do--AND I LOVE IT--and shoot it well.
i am not familiar with AR model tho??
anyway thats my suggestion to you

Whichever one doesn't have an ejector.
I really don’t understand the dislike for ejectors.
My hulls pop right into my hand instead of having to dig them out of the barrel.
They are also useful to fire empty hulls back in retaliation if the guy to your left is shooting an autoloader without a catcher.

Extractors are calm and peaceful. The thought of getting revenge though is pretty funny.

I don’t think he has a reason for the dislike. He’s a new guy and just likes to chime in.

That’s a great idea. I never thought of putting the PFS stock on one.

I have been shooting a Standard out of the box BT99 for over a year now. I shoot it as well as any Trap gun I have owned. The BT99AR is a nice gun if you feel you need the adjustments and there are a couple dealers that Browning builds them for exclusively. I have owned several trap guns , high shooters , fully adjustable guns but this plain Jane BT99 gets the job done and fits.

At a minimum I would never buy a trap gun without an adjustable comb. You can always add an Rad 2 recoil reducer later if you want one. The rib adjustable is nice but many good trap guns don't have one.
I shot a 1974 BT99 for 35 years that didn't have any adjustment and I still think it was my best trap gun.
Sometime less is better then more.

I shoot a Grade 3 adj. BT-99 and a BT-99 MAX adj., great guns. Your request for opinions will get you all good info. But I’d go with your gut feeling. Are they really that much different? Whatever that is will be the right one.

I have a guns unlimited 80/20 supposed to be a plus clone and an old 99 plus with the adjustable rib. The plus feels 10x better. I have never shot a Ar but am a big fan of adjustable ribs if you can let your hands off it once it’s set. The new pluses have a lot better feel to me than the guns unlimited clone I’m pretty sorry I bought that.

I just bought a 34" BT99 Plus a month ago and shoot it just as it came out of the box. I didn't make any adjustment to the comb (the only adjustment available) and shoot it as well as any trap gun I've owned (until I got a Beretta ASE90)

im the guy who posted about the bt-99 with the PFS
i also have the 686 SPI with the PFS for skeet--which was the entry level 686 etc and total cost was $3600 for that set-up
and there's nothing that im lacking in adjustments with either of those shotgun
Soooooo
and BTW i shoot both of those guns as good as ive shot the expensive ones with the adjustments that came with them etc(but not all of the adjustments that the PFS provides)
