Just an FYI in Hodgdons online data. NS209 is the 688 primer. (Per Hodogen)
Thanks. I will check it out. I have reloaded more than 20000 of the Nobel and never had a problem (unlike the Cheddite piercing issue which did bother me). After 30 years I am still vigilant about reloading components and the shortages have made it worse.

I just sent a message to NobelSport Italia asking if they can recommend as to which 'common to the USA' 209 primers extant reload data (if any) is safe to use with the NS 688 primer, and also asking them if there is one common primer in the USA (including Cheddite CX2000) that the NS 688 most closely duplicates as to it's nominal pressure building characteristics.
Got a response yet?

Ken got this answer
I deleted the one I got. But it reads the same,

Hi Ken

Sorry I haven’t been able to get you all the information. What I can tell you is that the NSI primer is the same as the Cheddite primer. They are the same group of companies. There is data available for Cheddite so you can use the exact same data for reloading. There is a slight difference between the 686 and 688. We don’t make the 686 anymore. The 688 is a little hotter than the 686. NS209 is the same as 688.

John
