I bought two of the Buck 110 knives at the Special Forces Bookstore on Ft Bragg in December of 1972. I kept one and gave the other to my Dad. Dad has been gone for years and my Mom found his Buck and gave it to me a while ago. I did some research as I thought it would be nice to restore it. Well for $10 Buck Knife will re-blade and give it there Spa treatment. I will forgo the polishing as Dad "engraved" name and such everywhere.....They have a "Lifetime Guarantee", I boxed up the knife and it's headed to Oregon! We will see the results in 8 to 10 weeks!

Funny using your pocket knife to cut up a steak. I think I embarrass my wife and kids every time I pull my Buck, Spyderco, Benchmade, whatever knife I’m carrying, from my pocket and cut my meat at a restaurant😂. Damn restaurant knives are typically dull, serrated pieces of crap that can‘t cut warm butter. I remember using my Spyderco to cut my porterhouse at Del Friscos one evening. A couple at a table next to us looked at me like I had 3 arms. Made me laugh on the inside.

Yeah I thought the same thing. Reminds me of an old quote about the "farmers knife".
Beware the farmers knife... It is used for peeling apples, cleaning fingernails and castrating a calf.
My first Buck folding hunter was so impressive to me that I bought another and kept it new and unsharpened in its original box. The price sticker was $16.00, came with a lapel button with the price on it. I still have the original receipt for $12.00 (discount, you know) from Atlas Sports. The first generation came with a suede leather sheath. Later ones were hard leather.

Back when I was around 10 I asked Santa Claus for a 110. I got it for Christmas that year. I was so proud of it that I was scared I’d loose it or something would happen to it and hardly carried it. But I’d take it out of its sheath and just sit and admire it.
I still have it today 50 plus years later in almost new condition 😁

This reminds me of the Case yellow fishing knife I purchased as a teen. It was so wonderfully beautiful I'd use something else before it. Unfortunately my tackle box was stolen out of the garage in my first home. I later got a replacement which I keep boxed up and look at from time to time. But it's not quite the same...
Our family friend and elk hunting outfitter gave me one when I guided for him in my early 20s man that thing has quartered and skinned some elk, the blade is probably 2/3 of what it used to be from sharpening. Our friend is no longer around, but I still carry that knife and his memory in my elk pack. I mainly use the replaceable blades anymore. But I still have that ol buck if the new ones ever let me down. Solid knives!!!

I have 3 110's right now. A "normal" hunter, a lightweight and the newest drop point version. Would like to pick up a automatic one of these days.
My favorite Buck knife is a 500. Bought my first in the early 80's loved it.
Usually have three knives on me daily. SOG cash card, SOG neck knife on a chain and a Ontario Rat1 clipped on a pocket.

Well here is an update:
After many months of waiting I got a notice that my knife was in the mail. When it arrived I opened the package and found that Buck sent me a BuckTool knife (pliers) NOT my old 110!
I called the company and later in the day they called me back with the good news that they had located MY knife and would work it in their schedule as it had not been done.
They did email a "call tag" so I could return the BuckTool knife free of charge
