I like Ranger colors HD dark and HD medium and Clear.
All three lenses are coated with A R coating. Had our friends at Decot grind the script. Could not be happier. Lester

I use copper lenses. I like my copper lenses better then red and purple. All the time with exception of night shooting i use clear.

I also have very dark eyes. Eye color makes a difference in what lense you prefer.

Edit: I have school of thought of not changing lenses. Some top shooters say change lenses based on conditions, other top shooters say set it and forget it.

A word of caution. I shoot at clubs that throw all orange and clubs that throw orange/black rim. I use a different color with all orange/blue sky as opposed to black rim/shot curtain or black rim/trees. You will find with a shot curtain or a dark background a black rim target will almost DISAPPEAR unless you use a light color. Having said that, I have gravitated over the years to lighter colors....purple and target orange. Yellow has always served me best under the lights. And don't overlook brown/bronze....they really do highlight orange.

Decot V lite rose gave me very good results. Only thing is when I took them off, everything looked gray and washed out for an hour or so. I changed to Randolph Vermillion and am much happier. They give good acquisition in most all conditions from partly sunny to full sun. I use target orange or med yellow for overcast days. If shooting in Arizona or Nevada sun without a cloud in the sky, Randolph CMT.

Every time I discussed Vermillion with the folks at Decot, they steered me away from it. They like their V Lite Rose as a favorite recommendation. Oddly, none have really pushed the CMT lenses.

Decot has discouraged me from polarized lenses claiming they have negative impact on depth perception. I'm a one eyed shooter so I dont know why that matters to me . I think LMT will do Randolph prescriptions in polarized. I may talk to them about a polarized vermillion lens.

It's a shame you can't wear contacts in order to use plano lenses. If you were in here in Vegas, I have most of the colors from Randolph you could try on...

I and many fellow shooters have had very good success with Morgan Optical out of Olean...

Eyes perceive light and color differently... depending on the target color and background, I change... my inventory of color ranges from CMT to Bronze to purples to yellows to the HDs... I've got blue lenses for green targets in the desert... it all depends... call Morgan with your set-up...

I'm assuming your current frames are for prescription lenses. If not, prescription lenses won't fit, they are thicker. As me how I know. Fortunately, L&M Lenses called me before they filled the order. [emoji41]

That maybe true at L and M but I buy mine through Frank Rively and they are same thickness as non scrips. Also Decot direct are same thickness.

I just got an upgrade on my vision prescription, and I'm going to get new lenses. I'd like to hear from anyone who uses shooting glasses what color lenses work the best for them. I've got plenty of frames, Post 4, Dicot and Randolph, so I'm just gonna pick one and call a good lens company. I appreciate the forum and any help you can offer.
Remington sells a 4 pack of different plastic lenses that are very inexpensive. Try the different colors and when you find the one or ones that work for you, order the expensive non-scratch glasses from an optomitrist.
