Was in Charles City Missouri last weekend. My son’s college team had a weekend shoot with 11 other schools prepping for their acui championships in a few weeks. Sunday we traveled to Brighton Illinois for their sporting clays event at a placed called Nilo Farms. I must say it was the nicest sporting clay range I’ve been to. Everything kept up nice, great targets and backgrounds. Check it out if in the area!

Haven’t shot there for several years now, I also used to shoot in the Kid’s & Clays events there. For years the facility was only used for private events. Glad to see that they have opened it up to the public. I did not get a chance to get over there last year to shoot but hope to this year. Very nice facility.

Winchester-Olin - like the ammunition manufacturer... Olin is the parent company

They have a open house every year and if you go you'll see some of the best retrievers you can imagine. They hold canned hunts for ducks and upland game for corporate events. Beautiful place and really good sporting set up and skeet. I used to run to sporting shoots with some of the trainers years ago. I guess it was kind of John Olins country club.

The other nice part about shooting at NILO is that four boxes of AA’s shells are included in the price of the round. Love shooting there. I go every opportunity I get.

They’ve had a tournament the last several years called the NILO Open. Typically 30-40k in prizes. Some for high score, some randomly drawn. My son won 6 cases of AA’s at the shoot.
