I was searching for powder and primers on the internet today and came across this company. Powder and primers in stock, reasonable prices and no limits. My antennas went up but, figured I would see what my cart looked like. PayPal was the only payment method. That’s where I ended it, so I though. I received a pop up alert saying my computer was locked. my son said to control alt delete and end task To get out of it. If it’s too good to be true it most likely is. Be aware of these sites. I’ve found a few more this looked very sketchy: Tactical-world and the primers warehouse

Alphex Firearms is supposedly a big operation, but when I Google mapped it, it was a house in a residential area. Red flag. They only accept zelle or paypal, sent to their cashier. What a joke. Also, how can they have powder, when everyone is out of stock. Scammers don't just go after old people. I have to go now ,as I am going to send money to the prince in Nigeria. ( this is tongue in cheek humor)

Sorry, Bull, but stick with the established sellers, Recobs Bpi, Natches...the like, too many scams and if the legit sellers are out, they're out and you may have to curtail your shooting. I worry about the clubs going under but what can you do. Legit gun show sellers are out of stock, known small biz barn sellers are out, ect. Estate sale may be doable but avoid powder...who knows what is in the can or powder hopper after great uncle Ebenezer croaked. We may have to ration or cease entirely until this is over and hope the club isn't turned into an apartment complex, rich guys new estate for his mistress, a golf course, strip mall or a Wally world junk Chinese stuff outlet. People should also be checking the Great Deals sub forum.
Posts there for components are from legit sites such as the ones mentioned above.
ETA: Go to the Great Deals forum and click on the "Follow" button at the far right. This will provide you with an alert when someone posts in the forum.

Due diligence. Remember reliable companies are out of stock on most things. If a company says they have a lot of supplies, with no limit, watch out.

You guys are so right! This was all my fault and I cant believe it happened. I was shopping for Speer 9mm rounds and happened upon their site, called to confirm availability, etc. It wasn't discounted! I paid full price plus $25 for shipping. I was just happy about the availability. I will let this be a learning experience and pay more attention in the future. I assume the scammers are not actually located in Franklin TN as advertised but I am having my colleagues in federal law enforcement make some inquiries. I'm not expecting any positive results. I can only hope they are stupid enough to be operating some kind of operation that requires federal oversight.

What they did to you likely constitutes the federal crime of "wire fraud." Good like finding a federal prosecutor willing to bring charges or even willing to devote investigation resources to finding them.

FTC, BBB are a start and FBI web fraud dept. i guess or we can go to Tennessee and give'em a visit.

You do know that scammers can use any address they want. The chance that they actually live there is extremely low.
People if they don't accept credit cards don't do business with them.

Law enforcement has bigger fish to fry. i doubt they are firing a single synapse at this problem.
I guarantee there's no one looking to shut down a web site that scammed you for $150.
Law enforcement doesn't even bother looking for thief's that steal $1000+ worth of goods in San Francisco department stores.
Your case is considered 'chump change' and is chalked up as 'another uninformed online shopper'.
Why would you want to go to Tennessee to look for a web site that is probably in Russia or Ukraine?
