There is science behind the product. It is similar to other products such as the "Dead Mule." The idea is that the kinetic energy of the free floating weights are converted to potential energy by the compression of the springs which later release the energy by uncoiling and pushing the weights back into battery. The idea is to spread the kinetic energy over time through the conversion of kinetic energy to stored energy which is later released. Now as my father used to say, "Just because it makes sense doesn't mean it works." While in theory there would be less recoil energy with this system, it is not clear that there is enough to notice/make a difference. I personally don't like to hear/feel things sliding in my stock.

Thanks George. Yeah that post went south pretty quick. I was more so curious if one would be able to tell a difference using the springs and weights ounce for ounce compared to just using dead weight like what I’m doing now. I know weight is weight so I don’t see how they could be much difference in felt recoil. But maybe I’m looking at it wrong.
I think Neil did a research on the moving weight/spring loaded recoil reduction schemes and didn’t find extra value with the concept.
