Same gun -Just less goodies in the box -no interchangeable front sight -Assortment of trigger blades --Stock wrench --Cheaper wood --plain receiver --Being a left hander I have never seen a real Browning left hand shotgun --All the left handers I have tried are a straight stock with a left hand palm swell -that's it - still a right hand opener --All of mine have a adjustable comb - adjustable recoil - and a add on left hand palm swell to make it a real lefthander.

I have seen a left hand 725 trap twice. If left handedI think the 725 is the most affordable out of the box factory gun.

Triggers are sort of a hybrid on the 725 from what I have gathered. I've shot with a guy that was shooting 7/8 reloads and trigger wouldn't set for second shot. Heard you can't realiably tube them either because trigger won't reset for lighter loads on the sub gauges.

725 totally different gun than what the OP is asking about, i just purchased a CXT white and picked it up yesterday, 3 chokes tubes came with it, M_IM and F, choke tube wrench, stock wrench and it has grade 2 wood that is really nice looking, also got the adjustable comb being Browning uses Graco hardware now and it came with spacers and the allen wrenches for the comb

Why did Browning mess with what appeared to be thing? The TX had a real long run. It preceded the Special Trap Edition which is a good gun (blued, inv. +, ported, 32"), I believe that followed the ole Citori Trap. I bought one new and still own it today. Some years later I bought an XT, sort of liked the silver nitrate look and went for it. I've been shooting that for a long time now. When I went to the XT I felt the adjustable trigger length, wood, trigger shoe choices and the finish and sights were a bit of and upgrade. A warm and fuzzy thing I guess.

I sort of believe in the process of making a new model or version more appealing, more advanced or keeping previous upgrades at least the standard. Can't see doing a regression.

Where is the CXT an improvement or made more desirable? They went a CrossOver series of guns but didn't leave certain features as the norm or standard. The CTX is gonna have to be great. The only new Citori Trap gun on the market. A guy might luck out to get a NOS TX Trap.

You are absolutely right Browning puts out a decent quality product. It's all marketing. They took away some of the bling associated with the XT. Same with some of the Sporting guns. To keep from loosing a base or baseline they started it with the CrossOver Target, to CXS and having a CXT Trap. Your next option is the 725. A true step up. But in the full scheme of things a 725 is a good deal in todays market.
