I'm looking for a cheaper priced handicap shell for 27 yrd line. I usually shoot AA superhandicap but I am wanting to try to find a cheaper shell to shoot during the offseason.
I agree on the Aquila’s but can’t find them anymore since local academy quit selling them.Aguila!
Shoot the AAs and do the rebate and sell the hulls. How much would you really save shooting the promo shells? Regardless of the season I want to break as many as I can every time I shoot. It's not worth it to me to introduce more variables that will only give my mind a reason for distraction. Stay with what you know and shoot with confidence regardless of the season. Just my .02
Sadly they aren't anywhere near 1250fps. According to my Garmin they average about 1140fps with a large margin between the min and max but the Nitros and AAs come out very close to the advertised speed.I have had good luck with the Walmart 4 packs of Estate Supersport Handicap 1250 so same speed as SHC's but 21.74 fo a 4 pack . You should have your Garmin checked....We have chronographed them several times at our club several times and while speeds were not as consistent as SHC's speeds were comparable.Sadly they aren't anywhere near 1250fps. According to my Garmin they average about 1140fps with a large margin between the min and max but the Nitros and AAs come out very close to the advertised speed.
You only get one rebate a season wouldn't ya want to save those AA's for competition. JerryThe OP wanted the shells for the off season
Maybe his wife and kids ,cousins , aunts and uncles all get rebates too....☺You only get one rebate a season wouldn't ya want to save those AA's for competition. Jerry
They'll still break targets...Sadly they aren't anywhere near 1250fps. According to my Garmin they average about 1140fps with a large margin between the min and max.
There are no MAGIC shells for any shotgun barrel.I have to agree. The Remington Nitro 27 is one fine shell. My first choice. That said, every firearm has it's magic shell or cartridge the patter board is your friend. Don't be cheap with the quality of the ammo you shoot.
