Can you get it sheets or rolls like weather-strip. Seems awful expensive when you are trying to do gun fitting on several people. I have found about 3 websites that have closed cell neoprene sheets and strips in various hardness. I don't know what to get.

Anyone have any information or experience with this.. you can get a 50ft roll 2" wide for about 30-4o bucks.
or 12" x 48" sheets for about the same money.

Thanks

Wadhopper once posted info about some adhesive backed foam sheets you could buy at WalMart. I went and found some. They are something like 6x9, 40 to a pack and 2mm for 10-11 bucks. They come in assorted colors. Might have to layer them to make them work, but one thickness works for me. Some thicker pads are advertised on their website, but did not see any reference to adhesive backing, however, some double sided tape or 3M mounting spray would probably work.

I think the op is trying to save money by using least expensive material available wher multiple shooters are invloved. They will be putting on, taking off, reapplying and add to. All of us have tried this stuff and had to make several attempts before we get it right. If teaching several students every season the cost of material is in addition to shells, eye, ear protection, vests, and shell pouches. While 5-6 dollars seems a trifle to us for individual use it can add up to a lot more when a number is students are involved.

40 pieces of 6x9 inch adhesive backed foam at $12.00 including tax, works out to 30 cents a piece. Some of the stuff suggested can be 2-3 to 25 dollars a piece, it adds up. Perhaps part of the contributions we fellow trapshooters is not only shells and reloader, but components, vests, shell bags, blinders, and any material or devices that helps adjusts a comb.

The foam sheets I use (adhesive back) from wallyworld are very similar to neoprene. That's a Tron comb by the way ;)

Moleskin ® is the stuff to use. It is not foam rubber or anything remotely like it, It is semi-solid so it locates your cheekbone solidly as a stock should. It is softly suede so it doesn't hurt your face unless your stock is all wrong. As it wears out and loses its softness you can pull off the top layer and apply a new one and have a nice, soft top again.

Molefoam® is no good because it's just foam rubber and won't do what you need which is LOCATE your head,

Get a roll from Amazon. Apply a 1 1/2 inch strip to the top and a bit to the face-side of the stock, not enough to move you eye from dead-center down the rib. Use as many layers as required to raise the POI to where you want it.
