I was shown how to use springs and weight to lower felt recoil. It does work. Find a piece of bar stock, cut it to length for desired weight/balance, wrap with electrical tape to take out any slop. Insert spring, followed by weight then the other spring making sure it's long enough to extend out about an inch or so out of the stock then put your pad or plate back on. Some tinging noise may be heard but at least you know if you hear it, your head's still on the stock.

I've added weight to my stocks & it really does help with felt recoil........however, weight is weight & over the course of lifting & mounting your gun 200-300 times a day it will contribute to fatigue very quickly. If you have witnessed as many sunsets as I have it will really tire you out quickly.

IF your stock fits you I recommend the soft touch unit.......I just got mine back & the unit only added 2.5 ounces to my stock.
If you think you need a better fitting stock, the PFS is an excellent choice.

I had a friend bore a hole in steel bar stock so I could remove my Perazxzi stock without removing the weight. It fit perfectly into the bore of the stock and added 15 oz. I was quite happy with the results.

The Graco unit is just springs but does not truly absorb. Springs can only store, so after moving back the springs rebound and the gun jumps forward.

The Soft touch units do absorb well but there is a long waiting list for instillation. I would say to call Stocker John in Eugene, Or. (971 570-6597). He used to work for Soft Touch and installed the units until he left and started his own business. He has his own recoil system called a "Fittrite" which is very much like a Soft Touch but a lot cheaper and only a short time wait to get it.
