Castellini vests are the most commonly seen vests in the Olympics and international events (like Perazzi and Beretta), they're excellent vest, but I think half of the cost went to the name (like Perazzi and Beretta).
I had a couple different vests from them, they're cut like Italian suit, tighter than Americans.

They're selling their $200 vests for around $150 with no tax at the SHOT show every year.

The Castellani vests I've looked at did not impress me as anything that special, most definitely so considering the price. I've found the Beretta vests to easily be the equal of anything I've seen in the past near 30yrs. Design, fit, and construction are all first rate. The downside is that you best be liking the Beretta logo coz the things are plastered with them. Difficult but not impossible to remove tho for the industrious hahaha. Bargains on most any brand can be found with patience and ebay.

I was in the Castellani factory last Monday. I looked around and appears the a quality operation. They are making a special vest for me given they did not have on hand my size. This is something they will only do if you visit the factory. I’ve been very impressed with what I have seen of their vast here in Italy

The Rio Alcantara is great. I own 3 Castellini vests but the New Rio is by far my favorite. Fits like a glove with the stretch side panels and no bunching up at the pad. Italian styling and constructed very well. Worth every penny!
