since I tend to spend money on stuff I find I don’t use later I figured I’d ask do you use a belt pouch, sling pouch or wear a vest

I've tried them all and I always migrate back to a pouch on it's own belt. But, I don't let the empties fly except in doubles so I find it is easier for me.

Started with a vest ( still have it). Then switched to a separate pouch and hull mesh bag on a belt. More freedom of movement and cooler in the summer.
I have been drooling over some of the shamrock leather, but...
There is always a "but".
I think I am so used to having the box of un-fired shells in my left front vest pocket and putting the empties in my right front vest pocket that ANY change would result in a mix up, maybe even a dropped gun<grin>

I like my vest in the cooler weather. Lots of extra room for shells and empty hulls. In the warm weather I prefer a pouch on its own belt. Much cooler and a little more freedom of movement.
I use a shell pouch with belt, the shell pouch holds a box of shells in their box so it is easy to keep track of how many shells have been used at each station, it also has a pouch with a zipper in the bottom for emptied so when you are done you hold the pouch over your empty shell container, unzip the bottom and the shells fall out. During the winter months I wear a shooting coat but still use the belt and pouch.

i bounce back and forth between a pouch and shell box holder and a vest, the vest is starting to bunch up when mounting the gun so i might be giving up on that all together

Spring and fall ,I like a vest. Winter ,I like a shooting coat with built in shell pockets. Summer I use a shell pouch, But this year I bought a half vest or more like an apron with 2 pouches and a shell bag on the back. It's a lot lighter than the pouch. Good luck.

Custom made vests for years . Rather stylish . Hotter than Hell in Summer. Switched to belt pouch and separate hull bag . Glad I did . Never looked back .
I never use a vest, as I've learned they eat recoil pads. Long sleeve sun block, wicking shirts with pads sewn in, work best for me. Also use a shell bag for empties, even doubles.
