My personal experience has been with a Fabarm XLR5 AR Velocity auto loader which is very adjustable and I currently own a CG Summit Impact which can be adjusted to your personal shooting needs as well. I have friends that own Browning Crossovers that are great for all the shooting games, too. There are many great shotguns that can be used for all disciplines so you won't run out of options.

Fixed rib Krieghoff or Kolar will do nicely. In fact it's much more fitting the gun to the individual shooter. Spend less money on fancy adjustable rib guns and get the stock to fit. Money spent on guns with adjustable ribs would be better spent just having your existing gun fit to you.

Beretta Multitarget probably gets my vote. Bought my daughter one and boy did her scores go up. She's nice enough to let Dad borrow it once in awhile and go play on the sporting clays course and I like the gun quite well myself. Won't put my TMX Special down to shoot it on the trap range but it is most definitely a great all around gun.

30-32" sporting or trap o/u... I've shot a Citori platform 425 and 30" Browning Superposed... used them both for Trap, Skeet and Sporting...

In 2018, it would be today's variants

I have a Browning XS special that I use for everything but trap thatI I really like. Could use it for trap but I have a dedicated trap gun.
I have been working on this for a number of years and predominantly shoot sporting and skeet with a few rounds of trap once in a while

My progression of guns over the years....
Citori 525- 28inch
To
Beretta greystone- 28 in tube set
To
Remington 3200 4 barrel set- 28 in
To
K-80- mid rib 30in tube set fully adjustable stock
To
Finally.... the setup that fits me perfectly....
Blaser f3- 32 in, super trap stock and trap barrels High rib with tube set
Took me a lot of years and targets to find out I shot best with a high rib and Monte Carlo type stock and it has worked well for me in all 3 disciplines of the clay target sports

"What is the best all-around shotgun for all clay target disciplines?" is one of frequently asked questions in the world of clay target sports. This article I wrote recently may have the answers many are looking for. Check it out:

Thanks!
Some good advice!
I shoot Trap, Skeet, & Sporting Clays and need "1" gun that'll do all 3. I also prefer a Dbl Release and needed a gun that had a good one.

In making the decision I had to consider a seller that would accept trade stock and a VISA. For me my ideal gun was found.
A Krieghoff K80 Dbl Release, 2 barrel set; 1) 32" Adj Rib/ adj comb w/ factory choked 12 ga barrel w/ a full range of factory titanium chokes & 2) a 32" carrier barrel w/ adj rib, Briley Ultimate Ultralights w/5 chokes per gauge ie, S, S, IC, LM, & M. Came with Krieghoff soft case and a Negrini Tubeset 2 barrel case.....I'm Done!

That is a very nice setup.

I do wish in my early years of shooting I would have paid more attention to gun fit than anything else. For a long time I would adjust my mount and hold points to try and fit the gun. Having a gun fully fitted to me was the biggest contributing factor to my consistent scores

Agree w Spyder, my 625 is the go to gun. For skeet and trap a Monte Carlo or parallel stock is fine, but for dropping/falling birds in sporting clays such stocks make it very difficult.best to have a stock w substantial drop and a comb you can raise.

Agree with Rich on the MX3 for a fixed rib gun. But adjustable rib guns (Blaser, Kolar, CG, K-80, XLR5, Multitarget) can go 50/50 to 90/10 or so on the POI with out changing the sight picture.

If you shoot a different POI on Trap vs Sporting, an adjustable rib works pretty slick.
