I like using the stick on "Champion Easy Hit Shotgun Sight" and for the most part the product preforms as advertised. However, overtime (Approximately 6 months) the sight seems to lose its' adhesiveness and slowly separates itself from the barrel. The sight does not suddenly fall off, instead portions of the sights base slowly separate from the adhesive tape. When it finally needs removed I notice equal amounts of the original adhesive tape still stuck to the barrel rib and the "Easy Hit Shotgun Sight". To me it appears that the gun oil may have deteriorated the stick on tape. Or so it appears.

My question: Is there an adhesive I can use to successfully reattach the sight. In other words is there a glue, or a silicon, or perhaps a tape I can use to do this?

Thanks in advance! Your advice is greatly appreciated!

I'll "third" the 3M Extreme double-sided mounting tape. It's what they use to attach automotive emblems to cars. Also, same stuff they use if you've ever had an Add-A-Rib. When I had an AAR on my doubles gun, it never came lose or any indication that it would. That's shooting 2-3 rounds of doubles in 95 degree heat so you know there's some heat build up there!

Everyone thank you very much for the awesome advice! I was actually at the point of giving up on using any type of stick on sight. I
now believe that the use of the double sided 3M or Scotch mounting tapes will fix my problem. As of now I think I will try the black gasket silicone sealer first. I am certain either method will work. Thanks again everyone for your valuable input!

I use the 3M tape also, but wipe the rib with carb cleaner and heat it up with a heat gun first. Never had one come loose.
