Same thing was happening to my DT11 forearm, cleaned screws with acetone and a little blue loctite, I let the screws set on the bench for about an hour then screwed them in and they have not come loose again. Like the Franks Hot Sauce commercial.................."I use that s..t on everything!" Steve

I let the screws set on the bench for about an hour then screwed them in and they have not come loose again.
I have never used loctite that way. I always cleaned the screws and hole threads very well and assembled while still wet then let dry overnight and never a problem. Yes I do know the there are screws that come with it applied and it is dry already but I always thought that if it dried while assembled it provided a stronger bond. Does it work just as well by applying and letting dry first?

The instructions on the package are:

Application
For Thru Holes:
Apply several drops of the product onto the bolt at the nut engagement area.

For Blind Holes:
Apply several drops of the product down the internal threads to the bottom of the hole.

For Sealing Applications:
Apply a 360° bead of product to the leading threads of the male fitting, leaving the first thread free. Force the material into the threads to thoroughly fill the voids. For bigger threads and voids, adjust product amount accordingly and apply a 360° bead of product on the female threads also.

Assemble parts and tighten as required. Sets in approximately 10 minutes and fully cures in 24 hours.

The local gunsmith has some ideas. He comes highly recommended. Hope he comes through.

Tim... as much as the info above is good... I hate to tell you it's an age thing.. you, like me, are getting older and our screws just aren't going to stay tight... .. Sorry to have to break this to you. :)
Ouch. The truth hurts.

Something I have done in the past was to put a small ball of paper towel down in the bottom of the bed. use a toothpick to set it in there. When you tighten the screw, it will now have back pressure that tightens things up. I did it on a front bead of my 391 and its worked for over 5 years now.
