Thanks for that info. Right now I just need a temporary fix, but if I decide a more permanent fix is in order I may try that. I'm not too sure I want to try drilling that hole with my Black & Decker hand-held.The Remington part is called a deflector button. It looks like a small headed rivet with a very long, thin "tail". It is a very simple installation easily done at home with a clamp and a ball peen hammer. Many barrels are pre-drilled to accept the deflector buton but it is, again, a simple process to drill the required hole. I have installed several so it can't be too difficult.
