WTB: Uncle Mike's S&W K/L Frame Square Butt Grips, catalog number 59005 (which is on the inside of the grip).

Need one set for sure, but two would be even better.

Please PM me.

What the grips look like:

For me, a big difference. Pachmayr simply makes their grips too wide and too rectangular in cross section, and the finger grooves do not line up for me. I have several Pachmayrs and do not care for them. Pachmayr was the only game in town three decades ago.

Also have some Hogue grips. While better in cross section, the finger grooves line up badly. Some of my fingers rest on top of the hump, not down in the groove.

Proper grip fit makes a big difference in my shooting accuracy. I shoot smaller groups with grips that fit me.

The Uncle Mike's grips, which were designed by Craig Spegel, fit me perfectly. If I have to, I'll order some in wood from Spegel, but I have a couple of guns which will probably wind up getting the wood dinged up. I'd rather have the rubber grip. I'm going to order some wood grips anyway for some target handguns from Spegel, for some N frame target revolvers.

Unfortunately, the Uncle Mike's grips were made under license, and apparently the license, for whatever reason, was not renewed. Pity, because these fit me very well. S&W is providing them on some round butt J frame models. But it is the square butt K frame model I want. The rubber version was never made for N frame, so wood is the only way to go.
