At a gun store I found an o/u that was about 98% for $500 It had a good feel and I have been wondering if I should have gotten it, Anyone have any experience with this brand?

Kraiza. Keep us updated on your experience with your Huglu. I bought a 30" .410 and it is a nice gun but probably shouldn't have made my statement because I don't use it for target shooting. You will have a better perspective than I will.

I won a 20 gauge Bobwhite at a sporting clays tournament a few years ago and have been very satisfied with its quality and workmanship. It doesn't get a lot of use, but it performs well on sporting clays targets and quail. I'd guess I've put maybe 1000 rounds through it without any hiccups. The only reason I typically pick up the 20 gauge LC Smith field instead of the Bobwhite is the LCS has ejectors.

I won a CZ Ringneck 28ga and have been shooting some competition clays with it the past two years. I've got a little over 2000rds through it and no problems.
I too was skeptical on the quality, having never had one in my hands before. I assumed it was a POS just like every other Turkish gun on the market today. I'm looking at making an exception on this one.

Huglu is to shotguns what Yugo was to cars.
Everything mechanical breaks, eventually. What really matters then is whether you can get parts for it.
A shooting friend owns a BSA 20GA o/u (one of the endless varieties of Huglu's) that broke a firing pin. No parts available anywhere! Same story for the Mossberg Reserves.
Always check for parts availability before buying anything; unless it's so cheap you can afford to throw it away rather than fix it.

I own three Huglu's and I've shoot all three at the trap range and for Sporting clays. I've had no problems with the guns and enjoy shooting them. I have a 410, 28, and a 16. The wood to metal fit is nice, good wood with nice sharp checkering. I paid a bit more and ordered the guns with higher end engraving and it is very nice. The one thing I noticed is that the guns are heavy as for a long term heavy use target gun, not sure that I would buy one for that use. A good buy for the money
