Are you close to the fires in Alberta?

Thankfully not. We are 50 road miles from the US border. The fires are 600 miles north of us.....but like many other Albertans we know people affected by the evacuation of the city and the shutdown of the oilsands plants.....but they are going to be back up and running soon and people will be moving back to Fort Mac....the rebuild is starting.

The trap guns are resting until I can afford to get back into the game.

No. Keeping it for my son. His young family is to the point he can take up trap again so it's his. Thanks.

Gave trap shooting a try in 1977 at the urging of the owner of the gun shop (Plainsman Sports...all of you would have LOVED that store) I worked part time at....only shotgun I owned back then was a CZ Brno Czech made 12ga. SxS sidelock. After about 15 targets I understood the gun was NOT a good choice for trap...so I traded it for a new 870 TA, which I still own and started registering targets in '78. Over the intervening years I've registered around 60K ATA targets in Alberta. Montana, Arizona and Hawaii, and made some of the best friends a guy could ask for.
