I purchased a Remington Model 31 16 gauge, and last night took it somewhat apart to give it a good cleaning which it needed. The pad is like a rock, so needs replaced, and there is a chunk out of the stock next to the receiver I will fix with wood putty.I took the barrel off, and I got the trigger group out easily enough, (It's the old "pull" trigger.) Was surprised how sturdy it was. It still doesn't pump like it's really clean, but didn't want to break or take something apart I couldn't put back together. Anyone know how to take the fore arm off?
