I agree. Right now, that's about what rough retired law enforcment S&W revolvers with fixed sights are bringing. Older revolvers with forged parts and no lock like that one are doing crazy numbers these days as the collectors want nothing to do with MIM hammers and triggers, frame-mounted firing pins and locks. Additionally, the frames on the newer guns were reshaped in the hammer area for the lock - if you look at a no-lock and a lock gun side-by-side, the lock gun's frame looks clubby by comparison.

BTW, the Model 15 is known as the Combat Masterpiece.

The Model 15 used a contoured barrel. This was done so that it, the Model 16 in .32 S&W, and the Model 18 in .22 LR would all have the same exact balance in the hand for target shooting, despite different bore diameters.

The Model 14 in .38 and the Model 17 in .22 look similar to the Model 15 and Model 18, but their barrels have different contours.
