How do use the cost calc on this website. It used to work without downloading anything. BTW, I am not the most computer savy guy.

Thanks Todd

I just used the one in the link and it did not require loading anything else. What is it asking for? There may be something you do not have - Java or something like that but the system will know what to download.

The real savings comes in with the 1-1/4 oz 3-3/4 dram loads which we use for the Annies. You save approx. 1/2 over the factory loads. Clyde

Your probably not hitting the middle 'compute' button. Don't use the bottom one.

Here are the figures I recently ciphered:

CAC reloading components for 20 flats:

5,000 W209 - 148.00

5,000 F8 Rem - 125.00

16 lb Am Sel - 191.98

14 25 lb #8 - 504.11

Sub Total - $968.98

6% tax - $58.14

Grand total - $1,027.12

CAC Prices for 20 flats of Rio ready-rolled Shells:

10 flats 1 1/8ox; 3 dr; #8 - 511.00

10 flats 1 oz, 2 3/4 dr; #8 - 505.00

Sub total - $1,016.00

6% tax - $60.96

Grand Total - $1,076.96

Total difference - $49.85 more for the ready-rolled. That works out to $.00997 per shell more. For this instance at least my time was worth MUCH more than that!

Gary, as long as their giving rebates I agree...

I consider my reloads better than gun clubs, estates and top guns for handicap.

Using real good components I figure that I am about $4.50 a box for 7/8oz loads, and about $4.80 for for 1oz. loads. All of our time is worth more, but I like to reload in the evening while listening to the Red Sox Baseball game, or on a rainy Sunday afternoon listening to New England Patriots football game. Oh....I am a Pirate baseball fan and a Steeler football fan, but cant get them live on the North East Coast!!

Glad you pointed out which button to push as it now works for me, BigM-Perazzi.

With Lawrence shot, Spolar wads, Clays powder and Winchester primers, my 1 1/8 oz reloads are $4.99 per box, still cheaper, most of the time, than buying shells. And, I like to reload.

Bob
