Have you removed the trigger group and see if it is functioning properly?

I suspect you might have a broken firing pin, if you not getting any indentation on the primers.

Remove the barrel and trigger group, face receiver down as if you are shoot the ground. Put your finger in the trigger opening and depress back of firing pin and see if the tip protrudes from recoil face. If it does not stick out, then it's broken. It can still be broken and fire providing the tip which is about 3/16 long is still trapped in the firing pin hole.

There's a guy on this site that sells spring kits and firing pins. J&P order two sets and keep one in your shooting bag. There's usually someone around that can change them. They are cheap enough.

If you are a reloader, make sure your primers are not being seated to deeply, also check to make sure your mainspring [hammer spring]in your trigger assembly is not broken or weak, it will get weak after a while and when it is left cocke for a long periods of time. Very simple fix to replace spring.

My buddy had the same thing happen to his BT-100 a couple of weeks ago. He took the receiver and placed it in a ultrasonic cleaner and cleaned it real good a couple of times. He then soaked it in mineral spirits a few hours and then wiped it down and blew it out with air. It was crud inside the cocking rods that was keeping the gun from re-setting completely. There wasn't anything wrong with the firing pin at all.

Punch out the firing pin retainer pin and remove the firing pin and spring. It's going to look like the top pin in my photo of bt100 pins.

If you noticed the firing pin is in at an angle. My smith says that is why they break a little more than would be expected.
