There have been a few new website features I am not sure everyone knows about.

1. Private Messaging System. This allow forum uses to send a private message between individuals that are only seen by those two users. Please enable your system so people can contact you. To enable click the "Change Password/Settings" link near the top of the main threads page and change the private messaging system to 'yes'.

We have setup up a way for you to be notified via email if you have received a private message via the trapshooters.com private message feature.

To enable this feature for your sign-on name. Click the 'Change Password/Settings' link once you have logged in and set the 'Private Message Email Notification' to yes and click the 'Update Info' button.

2. My Trap Scores Database. This allows you to put in your trap shooting scores in a database and will compute averages and totals for you. To enable click the "Change Password/Settings" link near the top of the main threads page click the 'update ccokies' link to allow access to My Trap Scores Database.

3. Search Feature. Search feature now allows multiple keyword searches and sorting ability.

4. Open Threads in New Window. This setting allows you to change what happens when you click a thread name, you can set it to open in the same windows like it has always or you can set it to open in a new window or tab depending on your browser settings. To enable click the "Change Password/Settings" link near the top of the main threads page and change the open thread in new window/tab to 'yes' in you like.

5. At the suggestion of 'gunrunner' I have made a new link below each post that will display the reply box right below the post. This should make it easier when responding to a certain thread, so you wont have to scroll back up and down to read what was written then type your reply.

6. A new link has been added called 'Edit/Delete My Post' it will appear on a thread under the post you have created and allow direct access to edit/delete that message and when finished it will return you right where back to your post in that thread.

7. A new feature has been created to allow registered users the ability to mark a thread they would like to watch or keep an eye on. When you are reading a thread there is a link called 'Watch This Thread' if you click this link the thread your are viewing will be added to your watch list.

To access your Thread Watch List, there is a new link called 'Thread Watch List' right after 'My Trap Scores Database' which will take you to your list of threads you have marked to watch. On this list you can delete individual threads or all threads you are watching.

This feature has been updated! A checkbox has been added to the new thread and reply thread form to allow you to add the thread your are creating or replying to, to your thread watch list.

There is also a new setting to where you can set whether you want to automatically have the system check the watch thread box. Click change password/settings link to set this new option if you like.
