Excellent guns. May bring more than they should on the market. Highly favored in untouched condition by live bird shooters. IMO as good as present day specimens just without all the extras.
Pretty good target gun. Predecessor to the MX series, I think the last ones were made around 1975, so we're talking about a 35+ year old gun. For the most part, they are priced at a very fair market level; (+-$2500). A heck of a gun compared to what people pay for new "guild guns".
They are/were prone to forend splits (due to overtightened screws usually). If you're buying one check the forend carefully. Good repairs are hard(er) to detect, second rate repairs are likely to need another if you shoot the gun a fair amount. Forends have historically been the Perazzi's 'Achilles Heel'.
The SC1 is what Perazzis used to feel like - relatively light and very fast handling. The guns were designed for European shooters and Olympic Trap - so many have been modified for the American game (ported, choke tubes, weight added to butt or barrel, etc.) an original gun is hard to find.
