Can't remember what was the 9x19mm FMJ ammo price during the ammo hoarding period, was it something around $19 or 20 per box of 50?

Just saw a local (Los Angeles) shop selling major U.S. factory 9x19 FMJ between $10.95 & 11.95 per 50.

What's the price in your area?

I think I'll join the ammo hoarding club now. :)

Steve, if you have a Cabelas near you, watch for sales flyers on 9mm ammo. In Hamburg, Pa. twice last year they had sales on brass case foreign made 9mm ammo at $9 for a box of 50.

A Grasshopper ridicules the Ants. When the $h!+ hits the fan, you can always take sarcastic 'shots' at trouble.

I also bought some 1000 round pack of Remington 9x19 mm FMJ at $219.98 each, that's $11 per 50. I consider it's a very good price for Los Angeles.

I checked my ammo cans, the least expensive Remington or Federal 9x19 FMJ I ever paid was $9 per 50 from over 15 years ago. That makes $11 today a great price. Right?

Be careful of the sale shells. The majority are steel cases. I have e-mails from Kahr and S&W that warn of their use. The Kahr I inquired about was the CW45 and the CW9. The S&W was the M&P45. Both companies said virtually the same thing. Stay away from steel.

Our local liquor & gun shop (only in Nevada right) has Federal AE 9mm selling for $8.99 a box right now .45 acp ammo is still pretty high with the low end stuff going for around $20 per box. The lowest I remember the 9mm selling for was around $7 per 50 but that was several years ago, seems like it peaked around $17 per box. Not a bad time to buy ammo, I bet we will see another hoarding period if/when our favorite president gets re-elected.
