Only one month to go until we start one of the most fun trap shoots available. On May 16th we will kickoff the Las Vegas 1000 and thanks to our Sponsors we are able to offer our shooters the best bargain in trapshooting. Here is what you get included in one price:

Six nights at the Las Vegas Hilton Hotel.

1000 targets at the first class, Clark County Shooting Park now managed by Steve Carmichael. 500 Singles and 500 Handicap.

All your ATA daily fees, PITA cross registration available.

Luxury coach transportation to and from the Club/Hotel.

Free guns and ammo storage at the Club.

Access to our Shooters’ Hospitality Tent.

A Field Tram to take you to your field.

A Friday evening Awards Banquet at the hotel where we will be awarding all the money, prizes, buckles and our Bill Hunter Service to Trapshooting Award.

The chance to win $15,000 in our Perfect Handicap on Friday.

What can you win? How about these?

HOA equally divided Purses in each class and yardage calculated at $25.00 per shooter, per discipline.

A custom Tilden Belt Buckle in each class and yardage group in each event provided by our Event Sponsors.

A custom Tilden HOA Buckle in all classes and yardage groups for the 500 targets in each discipline, provided by Kolar.

In addition to the buckles, we have:

Fiocchi ammo in the Fiocchi Singles.

White Flyer Trophies in the White Flyer Handicap.

3 Kick-EEZ pads in each class in the Kick-EEZ Singles.

    5, $175 Soft-Touch Gift Certificates in the Soft-Touch Singles.

5, $55.00 Gift Certificates in the Hi-Viz Singles.

You get all of this for less than $200.00 per day.

In addition to the above, a drawing for complete Ljutic rebuild for all Ljutic shooters, a sleeve of 100 primers for all shooters from Graf & Sons, a chance to win a custom Americase, a Graco recoil reducer, Phil Kiner videos, and prizes from Hodgdons, Galamiel and other Sponsors in our Fun Casino to benefit the Nevada SCTP. Plus you can play our Lewis Option, the Las Vegas 1000 Jackpot.

We have a special outing to Ethel M Chocolates for the spouses plus a spouse lunch at the Club on Wednesday. So far, about 35% of our shooters are bringing a spouse or friend. Breakfast and lunch at the Club is being specially catered.

Our format is well structured to appeal to shooters of all levels and for shooters who have never been to a big shoot, this is a perfect opportunity to come out and have a great time shooting while leaving all the logistics to us. You will be able to pre-order your ammo and it will be stored for you at the Club.

We have rates for RVers and local residents as well. Get all the details at the link above. We are closing in on selling out our initial block of hotel rooms so book now. Hope to see you there.

We are coming up on a our first 100 and the phones were busy again today as shooters are starting to focus on getting to Vegas for a great time. What's neat is we have about 30 states represented.

We will be in Las Vegas later this week delivering our custom built shooters tram,(carries 25 trapshooters or 50 regular people, lol), finalizing some details and staying over to shoot the ATA on Saturday.

We have had several inquiries about coming in for the last couple of days to shoot in the $15,000 Perfect Handicap on Friday. We are trying to work out some details but that would give people the opportunity to get a taste of our shoot and even stay over for the local ATA shoot scheduled for Sat & Sunday, May 21 & 22. Seems like a lot of folks want to drive in for those days from CA, AZ, UT & NV.

Yea, I dont know if that would be fair to those of us who already signed up. I thought it was an all in or out deal. Hence the name lasvegas1000, but its your shoot so if you want to rename it lasvegasfriday100for15000 its your decision. Im there either way because there is no way Im gonna spend another 100 bucks to change flights again!

    Mike,

If we do work something out, we would still contribute to the HOA purse pot the $5.00 per event from all those shooting less than 1000 targets. Of, course, I doubt they would have much of a chance at the purse money or the HOA buckles.

The underlying goal of this shoot and the reason Jim and I got involved was to help get the new Shooting Park off the ground by exposing it to as many shooters from across the Country as possible and to replace some of the money lost by the Nevada State Association from the closure of Steve's old club. The opportunity to give a boost to the local shoot is just another plus.

The prize and pricing format of this shoot is structured based upon shooting 500 targets in both singles and handicap. That is not going to change. Our hope is that the couple of dozen guys that get to shoot the last day or two will wish like heck they could have been there all week.

We all know what some of those guys are wanting to do, they want to slide in on the weekend shoot for the big money and not shoot the rest. Not fair to the folks shooting the whole thing. They shouldn't be allowed to shoot for the large purse IMO. STS

The premium for the $15,000 is being provided by a donor and, as such, it is not coming out of the entries paid by any of the shooters. In fact, there will be money paid into the HOA purse by shooters who only shoot a couple of days which will be won by shooters who were there all week. So, the shooters who shoot all the events will actually benefit by the guys who come in late, not the other way around.
