It's time for another Yellow Jacket Shoot.

For those of you who haven't been to one before, they're a kick in the butt and payback percentages are better than darn near anywhere. It's designed to bring all diciplines of shooters together to compete for money....trap, sporting clays, skeet and wingshooters. The below information will show cost and payouts, but basically Saturday is Trap Fun & Games (3 and 4 man Backers, Annies, Etc.) which costs $4 and pays back $12 (1:5). Sunday is the main event; a 110 Bird buddy shoot that consists of 60 sporting clays buddy, 40 bird 27 yd. buddy and a 10 bird 50+ yard Long-Bomb Buddy shoot. Lots of money to be made in each event plus HOA and Lewis money............each station in the sporting clays even has money.

Two bees met in a field. One said to the other "The weather has
been cold, wet and damp, and there aren't any flowers, so I can't make
    honey."

"No problem," said the first bee, "Just fly down five blocks
and then turn left, but keep going until you see all the cars. There's a
    Bar
Mitzvah going on and there are all kinds of fresh flowers and fresh
    fruit."

"Thanks for the tip," said the second bee who then flew away.

A few hours later the two bees ran into each other again. The first
bee asked, "How did it go?"

"Great!" said the second bee. "It was everything you said it would be.
There was plenty of fruit and, oh, such huge floral arrangements on
    every table."

"Uh, what's that thing on your head?" asked the first bee.

"That's my yarmulke," said the second bee. "I didn't want them to think
    I was a wasp."

    Shane,
Can you post directions or an address that a GPS would respond to?

    Sounds fun!

Ok.........here are directions coming from Tri-Cities WA (Richland, Pasco, Kennewick). If you're coming from Walla Walla or Spokane, call me and I can give you those directions as well. 509-382-4068

    FROM PASCO:

At Pasco, take HWY 12 toward Burbank. When you cross the Snake River (Von Hubbard Bridge), go about 1/2 mile and turn left at the stop light (that will be HWY 125)

On HWY 125 head East towards Lewiston, Id. Continue on HWY 125 for about 35 miles through the little town of Prescott. Just before mile marker 41, you will see a sign on that tells you to turn left to go to "Starbuck"....take that left (Bolles Rd.) (there will also be a white sign with red letters that says "LOPER" and an arrow at this turn)

Travel 1.3 miles and take a left on McKay-Alto Rd. (another sign saying "LOPER" and an arrow will be here)

Go 4.7 miles on McKay-Alto and turn right on Whetstone Rd. (5 very large silver grain elevators will be above you and to the right...there will also be another "LOPER" sign here)

go 1.3 miles and look off to your right.......at the "LOPER" sign, turn right and travel 400 yards down the gravel driveway.

I guess I need to do some partner shopping...better find a good one.

I really like shoots that bring shooters from different disciplines together.

    Ryan,

You're right. The shoot has some great folks from a lot of different disciplines.

Flyer shooters, Skeet, sporting and trapshooters. The fun is watching the strange team combos that people come up with.

This will be the 6th or 7th shoot and no one team has ever one it twice........that's how tight the competition is. Hopefully we'll have good weather, as I'm holding the shoot 1 1/2 months later than normal.

Shane, just a note, I think Sunday is time change day. Might be some late shooters if they don't realize it. John

OUT OF TOWNERS!!!!!!!!!!!! I recieved a message from the owner of the Weinard Hotel in Dayton. He said if you mention the shoot, he'll reduce the rate. This is a super nice Historic Hotel........kind of a hunting lodge feel with a 1900's Victorian flare to it located on main street in Dayton. If you bring your wife, she'd love to stay there and shop in historic Dayton.....I'm sure you'd earn a few points with her. Their number is 509-382-4032. A few guys stayed there last time and loved it.

Thanks John for mentioninig the time change. How would that work? "Fall Back" right? So we actually would get to sleep in an hour longer??? Regardless......don't be late folks! :)
