I think Dr. Longshot was put in charge of yardage reductions but I'm not sure.

All based on your tax bracket

Nope, haven't been on here much. Heard about it and was curious what determined if you got one, b/c I don't see where I did get a reduction.

You had to be a paid up member of the ATA with an average below the break point for your zone.

What surprised me was I earned honorable yardage on my last two handicaps and I still was offered the two yard reduction.

That's because the requirements for being offered the 2-yard reduction were just as Shawn indicated: 1) You needed to be a paid member, and 2) Your handicap average had to be below your Zone break point.

That's all. Recently earned yardage had no affect.

Don't forget that You are ineligble if You have earned any yardage in the interem AND Your State Delegate has to approve it also.

Scott, this is from memory and I may be wrong, but I thought the insert that came along with my reduction said that the reduction was void if I had recently earned yardage.

    Larry,

Some of the initial mailings included the "standard" reduction insert. Some of the information on that insert does not apply to the 2-yd reduction offer.

The insert was not put into subsequent mailings due to the confusion that it generated.

If anyone refused their reduction based on that insert, I'd advise them to contact their Delegate so that he can contact the Office and see if the reduction refusal can be rescinded.

I currently have one such request in to do just that.

This is the note that came with my reduction. There is no void for recently earned yardage on mine.

Its based on how much you weight and other stats. If your over 250 lbs with a short neck you get to shoot from the 27 yard line.
