You have to know something about it to enjoy watching. Vanilla people for the most part don't know what mediocre or good performance consists of.

I used to like watching Nora Martin. Smokeballs 15 feet out of the house.

I rate trapshooting first, skeet second, 100 yard dash third, gymnastics high bar fourth,....fencing,equestrian, 10 meter air rifle, tied for last.

Well if the coverage of the live event was anything like the replay of the women's skeet I seen on the NBC website, I can understand why. Poor camera angles (couldn't see the bird till they were hit, dust only), no commentary (so those who didn't understand the game would be lost), and the coverage skipped around quite bit.

I was surprised that they didn't have commentary. Hilary Russell does a superb job commentating the ISSF events, and typically has a guest commentator as well.

Yahoo is in dire straits and needs eye balls on there site. I guess some marketing guy figured out that stirring up a few thousand trap shooters might make a difference ;-)

Actually unless you're a contestant's family, friend, etc, most of the athletic (Olympic or ??) is boring to watch. Look what Pro Football has become, it's even worse than pro Wrestling..

Listening to a chess match on the radio is more fun...

The most boring "sport" I saw at the Olympics was badminton.

I would watch trap any day before I would watch the horse trotting thing.

Only women, children and liberal elitist watch the Olympics anyway according to those who are experts on the viewing public.

No real man could care less--they only watch real sports on ESPN and the Outdoor channel.

I enjoyed the women's beach volley ball. Two USA teams battled for the Gold. The winner's only lost 1 set in their whole career.

Water Polo & soccer has to be the worst to watch. They show a lot of it. Swimming, womens beach volleyball & track events rate the highest fo me.

I can't watch all 25 of my own birds without loosing concentration. How can you expect others to watch them, without being bored.
