1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Up for sale again is a WWII luftwafe issued drilling. I recently spoke with a collector and he valued it at $4000-$4500 with some TLC. I don't have the time to put into this gun plus i can use the money else where. There has been some modifications to this gun before I bought it. The stock is supposed to have A swastika on it but was removed.

You might want to add gauge, caliber, this is helpful when selling a firearm.

I knew there was something I would forget. I was told it is a SxS 12gauge and the rifle is 8mm.

Are you sure the rifle is not 9.3X74R?

It does say that, I was told it is 8mm. If I am wrong, what is the correct caliber? I don't claim to know everything about this gun. Any info other then what I put would be very helpful

The 9.3 is a 36.5 caliber, the 8mm takes a 323 bullet. Less powerful than the 375HH. The gun was supplied with an Aluminum case and two boxes of shot shells(one heavy 2's and one bird shot) and one box of 9.3 ammo. It was issued to the German Africa pilots and would about handle anything they would run into if they were shot down. It's still somewhat popular in Africa and Europe.

I knew it was issued to the luftwafe over Africa as a survival gun. The basic stuff from an Internet search. Thanks for the info.

I had one like new in the in the case a number of years ago. I did a lot of research on the gun and bought extra shells and shot it. I bought Norma, it came with the German military brand. The Norma did not print where the sights were regulated. They are well made guns. The Nazis basically came in and took them off the racks when they took over. So they were commercial guns with the Swastikas on them.

I had a beautiful Drillings years ago. SxS was 16 gauge, but I thought the rifle caliber was 9.3 X 72R. Am I mistaken about the rifle cal.??

If you had a Saur and Son,or a copy, it could have been their 9.3 X72R. They are not the same as the 9.3X74.

The 9.3X72R is a low powered shell that did not last. The 9.3X74R is a thumper that is still made and has killed, very dead, anything that walks on this planet.
