A new Model 700 Varmint SF (Synthetic Fluted) is on its way to me from Remington. I intend to eventually use the rifle in benchrest competition and have a laminated wood stock in a "benchrest-friendly" shape on order. The stock is black with soft gray OverMolded panels and fits any short-action Model 700 with a heavy "varmint" barrel and a BDL-style hinged floorplate. It will come as you see it in the photo above with sling swivel studs, barrel cooling vents and a recoil pad. Remington sells synthetic rifle stocks without the soft panels for $100 on their website; I will ship this one to the "lower 48" for $75.
I have numerous other new Remington Model 700 synthetic "take-off" stocks in long action or short action and standard, magnum or varmint barrel channel on hand for $50 to $75 shipped. Some are for hinged floorplates and some fit factory detachable box magazines. If anyone is interested, please P.M. me with your action length, barrel type and magazine type.
