wts 1100 Trap

    Don't need this anymore so it's up for sale.

    Remington 1100 Trap, checkered Fleur-de-lis Monte Carlo stock, engraved reciever. 1969 manufacture. 95% condition. 14 1/2" LOP, original white line Rem buttpad, Birchwood Casey/Pederson shellcatcher. Fixed full choke. 30" barrel.

    $500.

    Someone enlighten me, weren't trap grades stamped "Trap" on the right side of the receiver and gloss blued vs matte? Not a big issue. It's a nice looking gun with above average wood.

    I believe the Monte Carlo stock only goes on the Trap version.

    Some of the older trap grade guns did not have step ribs, and were flat shooters. Can't see the rib in the pics. My gun's Ser # is M23489V and is a tapered rib.

    Now that's interesting. I don't recall ever seeing this stamping before.

    bgf, I may be wrong, but I believe 1100's & 870's are all stamped vs cut checkering until one gets to the "D" grade or above.
