1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Looking for a 12ga. model with a shorter LOP for my 11 year old son who is starting to shoot trap. Not looking for a real heavy gun either. No pump models. What do you guys or girls have in the safe that you aren't using that could help this kid out? He has been shooting a 3901 at the club for reference.

    Thanks,

    Rick

No it's not his. He has been using it at our club. They have loaner guns and this is the "youth" model that they have. His own gun doesn't have to be a 3901.

    Thanks,

    Rick

Rick: I have a Remington 1100 Classic Trap with a 30 inch barrel. It comes with choke tubes for singles, mid range and long range. It has a wire shell catcher. There is some blue wear where a T&S shell catcher was installed. Otherwise, the gun is in excellent condition. The pictures show a standard length monte carlo stock. The pictures of the stock alone is a stock with a 13 1/2 inch LOP which I can put on the gun. Price with the 13 1/2 inch stock and fitted pad is $650 plus $35 for shipping and insurance. I'm located 55 miles north of Phoenix. Frank Novotny phone: 928-684-3957

Have you considered a used Remington 1100 with synthetic youth stocks and a 26 inch remchoke barrel for a starting gun? You can always replace the stock and barrel later on as needed? FWIW. JM

You can make one by sticking a D&E comb pad on a shortened wooden stock or on a synthetic youth stock. You can buy the pad from from Brownells. If you are interested I do have a 24 inch 1100 barrel with remchokes. JM

My suggestion would be to buy an adult gun, shorten it and put an adjustable length of pull butt plate on it. That way he can grow with the gun and shoot it for a long time. Can't go wrong with a bt-99. I have a new in box bt that I would sell cheap to a new young shooter. PM if you are interested.

    thanks
