1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

Which do you prefer? There is quite a bit of money difference between the two. Do you want it with the sheath? Do you want the hanger it was attached to the uniform with? All this makes a difference in the price. Do you have a price in mind? Do you want a particular manufacturer as there were approx. 30 or so of them? Then also to consider do you want an early dagger or a later dagger? The early daggers had the manufacturers logo on the blade and the later ons had a manufacturers code on them that was supplied to them by the Government. Some manufacturers are much more rare than others and this also influences the price. Mike.

There were over 100 different manufactures of Third Reich daggers. Very seldom do you find them with out scabbard. The most desirable SA or SS daggers would be early manufacture pre 1936. Or 1936 chained SS officer or chained NSKK officer. It is also possible to find SA,SS and NSKK daggers with the early manufacture logo "pre 1936" and post 36 date along with RZM marked.

I collected Nazi daggers for 28 years and was able to put together a very prestigious collection of 56 daggers that I sold in 2005. Plus 50 swords.

I still know of at least 20 daggers still in the woodwork including a early SS Himmler honor dagger.

I had two without sheaths but gave one to a friend of my daughters and donated one to a small military museum in Largo,Fl. along with a few other items. They were both S/A's. Mike.
