1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

Looking for a good woman's gun (auto or OU) for sale or recommendations to purchase. I would prefer a gun made for a woman. 12 ga or 20 ga. Do not want to just cut the stock. Thanks!

I have a Beretta AL391 Urika in a case with all of the bells and whistles besides having a second stock so you could have one of them fitted to her to help her shoot better ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I have a Remington 1100 with a 13 5/8" LOP and a 28" modified barrel(no rib) that I use with women and children. Works great.

Keep in mind that many women and those of smaller stature require more than just shortening a stock. Look at the Wenig stock for women. The grip is closer to the trigger.

Budget in getting the gun to fit her, or she will never be happy with it.

I would recomend a good semi-auto, this opens all shooting sports up with one gun.

Naturally I prefer Beretta's but Remington makes some fairly good semi-auto as well for less bucks.

If she is going to shoot a little once in a while go Remington 110 or 1187. If she is going to shoot 1000's of rounds go Beretta 391 with a 390 carrier.

Every woman I ever saw who had a gun fitted to them, had a adj. butt plate and it was lower l l/2 to 2 inchs and was always twisted about 30 degress to the side as well. It has to do with the way they are built. So add that into your price. I too say a Rem. 1100 for light shooting or a Beratta 39l for heavier shooting as well. Break-em all. Jeff

How tall is the lady? Do know about what LOP she needs? A Beretta 12ga., 3901 RL auto has a 12" LOP and adj comb, 26" or 28" barrel $935.00. A Beretta 12ga., 391 RL auto has a LOP of 13 3/4", $1235.00. Both guns have choke tubes.

About 12 years ago I paid $400 for a "like new" Beretta AL2 and then paid $450 to have it fitted for my wife. It was money well spent. While she doesn't shoot a lot when she does there are no issues about discomfort.

NO MATTER WHAT YOU GET, MAKE SURE ITS WHAT SHE WANTS!

Yes, I'm yelling for a reason.

If you buy her something, no matter how perfect it is for her, if you don't include her in the decision making process, even if she knows absolutely nothing about guns, she'll never want to shoot it.

I just sold the 870 but this 1100 would make a great starter gun. $550 shipped to you.

I'm going through the same thing with my daughter right now. She shot the 3901 RL at the PA State shoot and loved it. But, she shot a friends old 20ga Ithaca 37 and really wants one. They make the Ithaca with a ladies specific stock now. They are hard to get used to shooting trap with though, because of the bottom feed/eject. Make sure she likes it.
