1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

This is a long shot but you never know... My father purchased an 870 Skeet gun (so marked on barrel) about 1953 or 1954. Sometime in the 60's he put on fajen wood and the factory wood disappeared. I had Remington go completely through the gun a few years ago as a birthday present - reblue, new trigger plus other misc parts, etc and it looks like a new gun. EXCEPT for the wood which I would like to replace.

I don't have any idea what Skeet grade wood looked like in the 50's - anyone have any vintage 870 Remington Skeet grade wood or know where I might find some? I would need both the butt and forend.

If your Dad liked the Fajen wood, why not leave it in place? The skeet wood wouldn't add much value and it wouldn't be your Dad's gun. I have some older clay target guns with period non original stocks and they have serious character.
