1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

    Hi all,

I've decided to start reloading metallic and am in need of a press. I want to start out with a single stage, until I get comfortable enough to go progressive. I've narrowed my list to either an RCBS Rock Chucker Supreme, or a Lyman Crusher II.

I live in Pittsburgh and would prefer to buy something close to PA(to avoid high shipping costs).

Please let me know what you have

    Thanks,
    Rob

A Rock chucker will fit in a flat rate box and ship anywhere for around 11 bucks.

I have one for 75 dollars. Older model, RC II but has glossy paint, not the older flat paint.

If you think you'll ever load any magnum cartridges like the 7mm STW or any of the Remington Ultra Mags, get a Rock Chucker Supreme, which has "RC IV" cast into the rear riser. That press has a four-inch opening, which makes seating bullets in those long cartridges a lot easier.

MidwayUSA sells the press alone for $136.99 and the press with master kit for $322.99.

    Ed,

I am leaning towards the Rock Chucker Supreme. MidSouth has them for $119. I figured I'd try to score a decent used one, before buying new. It's looking like I'll be placing an order soon............

    Thanks for suggestion

RobPete, I picked up an older rockchucker at the flea market on Steubenville pike with some other rcbs stuff for $35 last summer. I usually see one each summer at Trader Jack's but down there the price is usually around $50. The bargains are out there, pick up a copy of the green sheet you may find one in there. Bulge.
