1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

What would the serial number be for a gun built before 64?

Any Model 94 with Serial no. 2797428 or lower. Model 94'guns made from 1965 and later started with serial no.2797429. This informatin was taken from the First edition Of "Winchester Dates of Manufacture" by George Madis, copyright 1981,1984.

I have a Winchester Model 94 - 30/30 that has never had a real bullet fired in it because it was used as a CowBoy Shooting gun ... I bought it just to have it at a gun sale several years ago ... I do have real ammo for it so one day I will take it up to the range and see if I can hit anything with it ... The same gun in a .32 special is what I took my first deer with way back when ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I have one in my safe that was made in 1957 and is almost like new. I bought it to go hog hunting with. There is just something about a lever gun, I guess it was watching all those Rifleman shows with Chuck Connors when I was a kid.

That's cool I had a Rifleman cap rifle when I was a kid that I got for Christmas, I think it was made by Mattel. I always tried to cock it like he did by spinning it with the lever but never got it right. I would never try that with the real one I have in the safe, probably would hit my knee or something :)

I prefer the Marlins. I have a 35 Remington and a 444. They are neat blue collar guns. But, to each his own.
