1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

    Ken,
We are in Des Moines Iowa.
We have had a lot of people look at the barrel, and no one can say what happened!!
My son had just taken out the 20 Ga tube, so we are sure of no obstruction.
It blew on the first shot, first day of competition at SCTP nationals.
He was shooting Win AA 12 ga. for sporting clays..?? go figure..I will try toattach a photo.

    I have a 27 1/2" set , didn't shoot 500 through it. Chocked 15 and 33.
It's the third set of my combo.

Thank you for posting the picture.

That's something a little unusual, not at the highest pressure point. It teared along the porting line.

A wild guess would be something catch the portings? :)

Can you mike the barrel wall thickness at the blow up?

We had Briley full lenghth tubes in for it.
The gun had been shot with 20Ga tubes for years.
My son had just started to shoot 12 Ga with it this year for trap and sporting clays.

Were I can get a ball mic in the barrel wall thickness was .051".
Around the porting it drops to about .047", but hard to get good readings.

Your son didn't happen to have an extra 20ga shell that may have found it's way down the bore and stopped at the choke?

Mrazzer, That set of barrels I was to get at the Grand never showed. We are still attempting to locate that indivdual. He is in his Motor Home somewhere in Utah at present. Also Danny at Giacomo's is looking for you also.
I have to think that the porting was to close together. As long as the sub gauge tubes were in It didn't put pressure on that area.
    Thanks
    Stu
