1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

this thread submerges way fast so please PM me if you have something to tell me

    thanks

Just a few simple criteria - no exceptions, please

A late '70's/early 80's production barrel would likely have the best go at fitting or being able to be fitted

    1. Type4 style factory (unaltered) MX8/MS80/MT6/MX3S/square monobloc whatever - no mods of any kind

    2. In order of preference - factory choke tubes in both barrels OR factory in bottom only OR a top first firing barrel w/ tight chokes. May be open to discussion on this a little, let me know what you have

but no aftermarket tubes of any kind.

3, Weight of +/- 1.55kg - might slide a little higher on this but anything lighter is better

    4. Any side rib configuration - see #1 above

    5. Any top rib configuration - see #1 above

    6. Original finish

    7. Condition is important - no dents, dings, gouges, etc - you know what I mean

    8. Did I mention no mods?

PM me w/ whatever info you want to share and an email. I'll get back to you asap.

    thanks

    Charlie

If you're trying to minimize fitting, you might want to post your receiver ser. # range, and looking for one that's coming from a gun has close #s to it.

    Steve,

That would be +/-53000 so like 1978 late T3 action w/T4 bbl era but I have a few others here about that and none of them really love that action either. Neither do most of the stocks I have. I'm on the verge of thinking that this baby is gonna only have one bbl hahahaha

    But I appreciate your suggestion

How exactly does any barrel you have tried - not fit your action?

Won't close? Gap? forearm doesn't quite lock up, or too loose fit for barrel lug?

Also - I have never seen a factory barrel 28 5/8" or longer set at or under 1.5kg unless no side ribs... there were a few DB 81 pigeon sets made in the late 70's (IIRC) that had top screw choke, bottom fixed Full but even the pigeon gun set at 28 5/8" were like 1.56 to 1.61 kg...

I'm not too concerned about fit issues other than off face, which seems to be a common case w/ this particular action for whatever reason.

I'm aware of the weight issues which is why I was sorta looking for no side ribs but was open to discuss. kg1.6 is really about break point unless there is something just way special otherwise.

    thanks

My 29-1/2" o/u with the flatest rib perazzi makes with side ribs and fixed chokes weighs 1.57. I think these are seamless tubes not seemed and welded which believe are heavier.
