Just getting around to shooting my new (well, new to me) 870 COMP. Will be giving it a couple of rounds tonight at the club. Was wondering if anyone had a Monte Carlo butt that they want to get rid of. As I shoulder this gun, I see a good inch of rib between the mid and forebead. Will know in the morning if I need to tweak it any...Thanks, LarryB

If you are seeing rib between the beads, you are already to high on the stock to align the beads, a M/C stock might make you hgher. I have had several 870 comps that have had the comb shaved, to allow for alignment of the beads. I made a stock for the one I still have for just that reason.
