1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I've got a couple of 39's. Those things shoot better than any lever action has the right too. Something about that color case hardening and octagon barrels just make it right. I'll never part with mine.

    Smoken,

Wood for the Marlin lever guns is a lot easier to find these days because of all the cowboy shooters. A quick google search should find you several examples.

The old 39 is a great American classic rifle and they're on Gunbroker frequently. CalvinMD is right on -- the Mountie carbine is the coolest and more collectible version. I had my eye on an excellent one on GB recently, with the original box, but it went for over $1000.

Great guns. I've had three. Gave the last one to my second son. Only had to make one repair in all the time I've owned them...had to replace the cartridge stop on the last one. Cost me about five bucks for parts.

Four power scope, dual X crosshairs (fine wires in the middle, posts leading up to the wires)...zero it in with the crosshairs at fifty yards, use the bottom post and you are back on at one hundred. Microgroove works great for 22s.

I thought I had a deal, but it fell thru. So....I'm still looking. FFL and a check just begging to be sent somewhere.

Also looking for a 30-06 falling block.
