Is there anyone on the internet who sells cheap wad and hull dispenser boxes? Dang Hornady wants $30 bucks for theres, MEC is about the same. I thought I saw some for $5 or so somewhere but I can't remember where.

I made one with some duct tape and foamcore board from the local hobby shop. Total cost was under 10 buck including the roll of tape. Looks very similar to the MEC container.

    Cheers

When we go to our local member's only store, BJ's, Sams club, etc. to stock up on necessities, we get our cereal in the 2 box/bag "big box". The big boxes that the cereal comes in work perfectly. Just cut a flap in the face towards the bottom and you're set.

The box that has 3 lbs of potato chips is exactly the right size and quite sturdy.

    Free too.

Hey Royce - Yeah, I take any good sized cardboard box, able to hold at least 500 wads, remove the top flaps, and cut a rectangular section near the bottom on one end large enough for grabbing wads. Then I use duct tape or similar to install a baffle above that hole angled at roughly 45 degrees down toward the back, and I like a sloped surface taped in the rear of the box also slopped to guide wads toward the front. Use the cut-off portions to make your interior baffle and rear angled surface. I dump the wads in and the front baffle keeps wads from just running out while the rear slope keeps them tending forward. You'll likely make 2 or 3 of these before you get it just the way you like. Cost? some duct tape.....Bob Dodd

Just get a couple of Wally's cheap waste baskets and a box knife. Carve them up to suit you. I found a little hot glue helps also.

I use large plastic food containers - think wholesale club sized food packaging.

The cost was part of the food purchase - a few minutes with a razor knife and you are good to go - or better yet the WIDE mouth ones (ones you can fit your hand inside of) can be used to store and separate various components - I keep ones for one-ounce and one-and-an-eight-ounce 12 gauge loads - (same for 16, 20, and 28).

A label on the outside and it's tough to confuse them...

I got mine from "Barrel Buddies". Don't remember the price, but they work great.

This setup was only a couple of bucks. It encourages inspection of hulls, which is CARDINAL to loading good ammo.

I used some florescent light boxes. Got them from work but a lighting contractor should have some. Four foot long and about 10" square. It will hold 2000 wads and 1000 shells. Works for me cause they were free.
