Not trying to tell you what to do....but if it were me, I'd only buy a CETME from someone local that I had taken out and fired a few magazines through to check function. Many..NOT all..of those inexpensive "knockoffs" have "function issues". There is no "collectibilty" credit for keeping one in pristine "new-in-box" condition, so whatever you decide...be sure you have a good one. I agree this is the time to put up rifles of that general type against the coming days when they will be totally banned from the maketplace (if for no other reason), I'd want to know that what I put away for the future works every time.

Wasn't looking to buy to collect lol. Just as a shooter. Something with a little distance to it. Everyone already wants gas, now lead. Guns, water, and horses may be in the future for more folks than we know. Everyone should have a "go box". Have had one for years. Gas mask, extra filter, two sets cammos, extra bullets of several calibers, spare mags, few parts, snakebite kit, space blankets, candles, medical supplies,a fire starting reflector and some waterproof matches, plus a few odds n' ends.

My wife used to think that I was nuts but the older we get the more she understands.

Remember, it is not paranoia if they are really after you.
