Hitapair, have you tried the hevi-shot? I've never tried it but heard some terrific things about it. Whether or not it's available to reloaders, I can't say. Hap

    Hap,
Hevi-shot is available & I too have heard good things about it. Don't know but I'm thinking that Hitapair wants Bismuth as its softer relative to lead and can be fired in older guns that are not suitable for steel. Hevi-shot is harder than lead and I think the same cautions for use of steel apply to hevi-shot.
    Regards,
    JIm

Thank you Jim, as I said, I know little about it other than what I've read and heard. It sure sounds like some magical stuff though! Hap

Check out the Hevi-shot Classic Doubles, apparently safe for older guns!

Hevi shot if it is available for reloaders, which I don't believe it is cannot be shot in old doubles w/o risking damage. Heavy shot is available but can't be used in old doubles either. Hevi shot classic doubles is available or will be soon as already loaded cartridges but I'm sure will be around $30 for a box of 10.
